Photography

Photography videos reward comments that notice a specific choice — light, framing, or timing — not a generic compliment.

Where to comment

Comment on shooting walkthroughs, editing breakdowns, gear walkthroughs, and photo critiques for the kind of photography you actually practise — portraits, street, landscape, or product — where you can name something you genuinely noticed, not on every viral photo video.

What good looks like

Name a frame, a light source, or a setting you actually noticed. Photography comments stand out when they are specific enough for the creator to recognise their own shot in them.

Example draft

At 2:10 the window light falls across her face but the background stays dark — I tried the same setup last week and the shadows blocked up. Did you expose for the highlights and lift the shadows, or flag the window to narrow the light?

Why it works

A timestamp plus a concrete visual detail shows you actually looked at the image, and it gives the creator a specific choice to talk about instead of another generic compliment.

What not to do

  • • Do not pitch your presets, course, or booking link.
  • • Do not claim a technique, camera, or style you do not actually use — photographers spot a bluff fast.
  • • Do not comment on photography genres outside the kind you actually practise — volume across unrelated genres reads as promotion.

A weekly routine

Three photography videos a week, one comment each, all in the kind you practise. Keep returning to the creators whose conversations you enjoy before chasing new ones.
