Monetization Eligibility Checker
Check your channel against the YouTube Partner Program thresholds — subscribers, watch hours, and Shorts views. Enter your own numbers from YouTube Studio; nothing is fetched and nothing is stored.

Thresholds change: this checker uses the thresholds on YouTube's Help page today (1,000 subscribers with 4,000 watch hours, or 10 million Shorts views). YouTube has announced higher thresholds for new applicants from February 2027, reported as 8,000 hours / 20 million Shorts views. Confirm the figure that applies to you in Studio's Earn tab.
Numbers are not the whole review: you also need to follow the channel monetization policies, have no active Community Guidelines strikes, turn on 2-Step Verification, and link an AdSense for YouTube account. Shorts views in the Shorts Feed do not count toward the 4,000-hour threshold.

Frequently asked questions
Do Shorts views count toward the 4,000 watch hours?+
No. Views in the Shorts Feed do not count toward the long-form watch-hour threshold. Shorts views count only toward the separate 10-million-views path.
What counts as a watch hour?+
Valid public watch hours from public, non-deleted videos in the last 12 months. Private, deleted, or otherwise ineligible watch time does not count.
If I meet one path, do I still need the other?+
No. Full monetization needs 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 watch hours or 10 million Shorts views — one path is enough, plus the policy and account checks.
Does this checker look at my channel?+
No. It only computes from the numbers you type in. It cannot see strikes, policy status, or your AdSense account — YouTube decides those on review.
What does the fan funding tier unlock?+
Channel memberships, Super Thanks, Super Chat, and (in eligible regions) YouTube Shopping — but not ad revenue or Premium revenue share.
Where do I find my real numbers?+
YouTube Studio's Earn tab shows your subscriber count, watch hours, and Shorts views, and notifies you when you become eligible.
