Music & Musicians

Music videos reward comments that hear something specific — a sound, a choice, or a moment in the track — not a generic compliment.

Where to comment

Comment on music videos in the style you actually play, produce, or listen to closely — original songs, covers, production breakdowns, or gear demos — where you can name something you genuinely heard, not on every trending music video.

What good looks like

Name a timestamp, a sound, or a musical choice you actually noticed. Music comments stand out when they are specific enough for the creator to recognise their own work in them.

Example draft

At 1:24 the vocal doubles the guitar line before the chorus — I tried the same doubling on a cover last month and it buried the vocal. Did you pull the guitar back in the mix, or automate the vocal up for that bar?

Why it works

A timestamp plus a concrete musical detail shows you actually listened, and it gives the creator a specific choice to talk about instead of another generic compliment.

What not to do

  • • Do not pitch your channel, song, beat pack, or lesson link.
  • • Do not claim a technique, genre, or influence you do not actually know — musicians spot a bluff fast.
  • • Do not comment on music videos outside the style you actually play or follow closely — volume across unrelated genres reads as promotion.

A weekly routine

Three music videos a week, one comment each, all in the style you play or follow. Keep returning to the creators whose conversations you enjoy before chasing new ones.
