Routine and comparison videos reward comments with context: your skin, your hair, your budget, your result.
Where to comment
Comment on routine videos, wear tests, and product comparisons where you can add a real result — not on haul videos where you have nothing to add beyond enthusiasm.
What good looks like
Name your context (skin type, hair type, budget), say what actually happened when you tried it, and ask one question about the step you are unsure about.
Example draft
This wear test is exactly what I needed — my skin is combination too and I have been wondering whether this foundation would go patchy. Did you set it with powder?
Edited version
That 20-minute wear test finally answered my question — my skin is combination too, and the foundation held on my T-zone without going patchy on my cheeks. Did you set it with powder, or did it hold on its own?
Why it works
A result plus a question beats praise: it proves you watched, it is useful to the next viewer with the same skin or hair, and it gives the creator something specific to answer.
What not to do
- • Do not pitch your channel, product, or discount code in the comment.
- • Do not copy the same compliment across ten routine videos.
- • Do not claim a result you did not get, or recommend a product for skin or hair you do not have.
A weekly routine
Two routine or comparison videos a week. Comment only where you have tried something comparable, and keep a note of which creators reply so your second comment can build on the first.
